In the early morning of January 1, 2026, a serious traffic accident occurred in the area near the Hoang Dao Thuy BRT bus station (Hanoi), causing a motorcyclist to be seriously injured.
According to information recorded at the scene, the motorbike was moving on the road when it suddenly crashed into the lane dividers for BRT. The strong collision caused the driver to fall to the road surface, lying motionless, the motorbike was heavily damaged and tilted to the side of the sidewalk.
Immediately after the accident occurred, people around quickly approached and called functional forces and ambulances. When discovered, the victim was unconscious and had no clear reaction.
A few minutes later, ambulances and police forces arrived at the scene to provide initial first aid, take the victim to the hospital, and at the same time blockade the area, ensuring traffic safety.
The incident occurred at about 2 am, when the streets were still in traffic after New Year's celebration activities, causing many vehicles to slow down and move slowly through the BRT waiting area. After the collision, some fragments of motorbikes and signposts were broken and fallen, scattered on the road surface, functional forces quickly handled them to ensure traffic safety.
Currently, the cause of the accident is being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
