At about 9 am on August 15, the Investigation Police Agency of Lam Dong Provincial Police (PC01) completed the scene examination of the accident between a passenger car and a truck on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway.
The vehicles involved in the accident were then removed from the scene by a rescue crane, and the expressway was reopened.

As Lao Dong reported, the accident occurred at about 2 am on August 15 at Km40+600 through Tan Minh commune, Lam Dong province.
Passenger car with license plate 50H-947. xx driven by driver D. M.Q (born 1984, residing in Khanh Hoa province), carrying 18 foreign passengers, running in the direction of Lam Dong - Ho Chi Minh City.
When arriving at the above location, the passenger car collided with the rear of a truck with license plate 47H-029.04 driven by B.T. T (born 1987, residing in Dak Lak province).
According to initial information from the driver's testimony, the truck had an accident, so the driver moved the vehicle into the emergency stop lane and stopped. About 1 minute later, the accident occurred.
The collision killed a foreign passenger on the spot and injured another person.

After the accident, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 under Department 6, Traffic Police Department coordinated with the route management unit to regulate traffic. The expressway was temporarily closed at DT. 720 intersection, vehicles were guided to National Highway 1 to continue their journey.
The Investigation Police Agency of Lam Dong Provincial Police and professional units examined the scene and autopsy to clarify the cause of the accident. At the same time, they checked the journey monitoring data of the vehicles.
After completing the examination, the crane removed the two vehicles involved in the accident from the expressway. Traffic on the route was restored.
The case is being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
