On May 3, functional agencies of Quang Ngai province are investigating and clarifying the cause of a serious traffic accident that occurred in the area.
Initial information, at about 11:30 pm on May 2, a truck with Dak Lak license plate carrying 3 people was traveling on National Highway 24 from Mang Den to the east of Quang Ngai.
When falling at the foot of Vi O Lac pass in Ba Vi commune, the car crashed into a cliff without a safety barrier and overturned.
At the scene, the front of the car was deformed, the truck bed blocked part of the lane. The two people who died were Mr. Le Dinh Tho (46 years old, in Da Nang) and a person named Minh whose identity is unknown.
The remaining victim is Mr. Nguyen Hong Nam (34 years old, in Dak Lak) who was injured and taken to the emergency room by functional forces.
Vi O Lac Pass is about 50 km long, located on National Highway 24 in the border area between Kon Plong and Ba To communes (Quang Ngai). The pass road has many sharp curves and dangerous terrain.
