After the friendly match with China, coach Mai Duc Chung was most satisfied with the fighting spirit of the Vietnamese women's team.

After the friendly match with the Chinese women's team held on the evening of February 10 in Shenzhen, head coach Mai Duc Chung highly appreciated the professional value of the friendly matches, and considered this an important preparation step for the Vietnamese women's team towards the 2026 Asian Women's Football Championship Finals.

Sharing after the match, coach Mai Duc Chung said: "We have two matches with the Chinese women's team. These are very good matches.

Specifically assessing the results and performance of the whole team, he frankly acknowledged the limitations that need to be improved: "We lost 0-2 but the spirit of the whole team is very good. Through this match, the coaching staff will learn from experience to supplement and improve the squad. In the first half, we did not play really well, possibly because before that the team only had two practice matches with Uzbekistan, so the level of improvement was not high. When facing a strong opponent like China, we realized many problems to adjust.

According to the head coach of the Vietnamese women's team, the fighting spirit is the biggest positive point that the students showed in the competition with the top continental opponent. He emphasized: "I am satisfied with the fighting spirit of the whole team. Although there are still limitations in physical strength, stature and strength compared to the opponent, the players have shown resilience and effort. We lost but I am still satisfied with the efforts of the students.

Coach Mai Duc Chung also expressed respect and appreciation for the level of the Chinese women's team: "The Chinese women's team is one of the leading teams in Asia, on par with Japan, South Korea and Australia. Therefore, when only losing 0-2 to such an opponent, I can appreciate the spirit and efforts of the whole team.

A series of friendly matches with strong opponents are considered an important review step for the Vietnamese women's team to continue to improve their force, towards the goal of playing well in the Asian arena in the coming time.
