On August 2, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters were present at the construction site of the 500kV circuit 3 project at column 174 in Cam My commune (Cam Xuyen, Ha Tinh), recording dozens of workers of the Construction Joint Stock Company. and Song Da Services is focusing on completing the column installation and porcelain transportation stages to prepare for wire pulling.
The workers were divided into two teams, one team hoisting equipment to erect the column, the other team transported porcelain. This is the column location where previously, dozens of officers and workers of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Electricity Company went out to strengthen the erection. When they were about to complete, they withdrew to carry out their tasks in Hue.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ti - technical officer of Song Da Construction and Services Joint Stock Company - said that this position of column No. 174 is a 2-body anchorage column (double column) with a height of 56m, weighing 235 tons. The unit is in the process of erecting the remaining top of the column to proceed with installing the wires.
"We are still trying to focus on speeding up construction to ensure completion before September 2 according to the Government's direction," Mr. Ti shared.
At column 175 next to it is one of the three highest columns at the 500kV line project through Ha Tinh province with a height of 145m.
Workers of Song Da Construction and Services Joint Stock Company are joining the final steel tie bars to complete the column.
Mr. Bui Van Quang - in charge of the construction team of column 175 - said that it is expected that in 3 days he will complete the pairing of the final steel tie bars to proceed with pulling the wires.
“With a high pole like this and a long wire crossing across the surface of Boc Nguyen lake, construction will be very difficult, requiring caution, meticulousness, and certainty. The time to complete pulling the rope up this pole is probably about 10 days," Mr. Quang shared.
According to the Central Power Project Management Board, the 500kV 3-circuit line project through Ha Tinh is 141.52km long with 285 column foundations passing through 9 districts and towns. To date, 285 foundation positions have been cast, 249 columns have been erected, and 36 columns are being erected.
