According to a quick report from functional agencies, as of 11 am on May 3, the whole province had 7 serious traffic accidents, killing 6 people and injuring 1 person. The incidents mainly occurred on key roads, where traffic volume increased due to people's travel and tourism needs during the holidays.
Faced with the above situation, the Traffic Police force of Tay Ninh Provincial Police has maximized troop strength, deploying patrols and controls throughout key routes. In 4 peak days, functional forces organized more than 200 patrols and inspections of over 4,000 vehicles, handling hundreds of violations.
Notably, alcohol concentration violations continue to be one of the most common behaviors. Functional forces have recorded nearly 150 cases, showing that the potential risk of accidents is still high.
Functional agencies believe that traffic pressure is still high when people return to work after the holiday. Therefore, the Traffic Police force will continue to maintain control measures, focusing on strictly handling violations that easily lead to accidents such as speeding, going in the wrong lane, and carrying more people than prescribed.
People are advised to strictly comply with the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, maintain a safe distance and do not use alcohol or beer while driving to limit unfortunate accidents.
