On September 8, leaders of Bac Gia Nghia Ward People's Committee visited, encouraged and supported 3 families in Ting Wet Dang residential group who suffered property damage in the fire that occurred in the early morning of the same day.
At the families, leaders of Bac Gia Nghia Ward People's Committee shared difficulties and losses; and encouraged households to stabilize their spirits, gradually overcome the consequences, soon stabilize their lives and restore production and business activities.
The Ward People's Committee also directed relevant departments to coordinate with the Ward Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to continue reviewing the damage.
Local authorities have also mobilized agencies, units, businesses, organizations, individuals, philanthropists and benefactors to join hands to support affected families.
As Lao Dong Newspaper has reported: At about 4:15 am, heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms occurred in the area near Dak Ha market.
People discovered smoke and fire rising from a house, so they quickly organized on-site firefighting and reported to functional forces.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police force mobilized officers and soldiers along with specialized vehicles to the scene to put out the fire. The fire was then controlled, without causing any casualties.
The fire affected 3 families including Mr. Nguyen Van Thuy - owner of 3 houses; Mr. Ngo Van Cuong - the person renting the house as a repair and trading facility for electronics and refrigeration; and Mr. Tran Van Chau - the person renting the house to run a coffee shop.
All 3 houses were completely burned down. Many household assets, vehicles, machinery, electronic equipment, refrigeration and goods were burned and damaged. According to initial local statistics, the damage is about 700 million VND.
The initial cause is believed to be lightning strike causing an electrical short circuit, causing fire to Mr. Cuong's house and then spreading to 2 adjacent houses. Functional agencies are continuing to verify and clarify the cause of the fire.
