On the morning of September 7th, according to a quick report from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Hung Thuan ward, Ms. D. T. N (born in 1986), the victim who was injured in the fire at a house combined with a grocery store and vegetable and fruit business in Ho Chi Minh City, died at the hospital after intensive treatment. Previously, Ms. D. T. N's husband died at the scene.
According to initial information, at about 1:55 am on September 5, a house combined with grocery business, vegetables and fruits on TTN12 street, Quarter 8, Dong Hung Thuan ward caught fire.
Ward Police, Ward Military, and Quarter forces coordinated with the Fire and Rescue Police Team of Area 12, PC07 Department to quickly deploy firefighting. The fire was controlled at 2:05 am and completely extinguished at 2:10 am.
The fire killed Mr. T.V. T (born in 1986), Ms. D. T. N's husband, on the spot. Ms. N. and her daughter, baby T.U. P (born in 2010) were injured and taken to Cho Ray Hospital for emergency treatment.
By the afternoon of September 5, Ms. D. T. N died at Cho Ray Hospital. Thus, the fire killed 2 family members and injured 1 person.
Property damage is being statistically determined by functional agencies. The ward police coordinate with professional units to continue investigating and verifying the cause of the fire.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Hung Thuan Ward is coordinating with the Police and neighborhood to support the families of the victims in preparing for the funeral and taking care of the injured.
