Unusual Consultation and Surgery at NT Korea Beauty Salon
Regularly appearing on social media, many forums beauty like a top destination for providing beauty services, surgical intimate areas, improving female physiology, and clinics (in fact, a beauty salon) of a self-proclaimed Dr. Thi Hoa (or Ms., Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa) have advertisements, divine consultations, and a series of miraculous uses of this service. However, all comments on the fanpage are limited access.
Claiming to have over 10 years of training at Anam University Hospital, Korea, with over 10,000 hours of clinical experience and 3,500 successful "Eva" shape-making surgeries, Dr. Thi Hoa's fanpage regularly shares successful surgeries in the intimate areas for customers at the clinic of this doctor, although the address is not clearly stated.
To learn about the activities of this beauty salon, PV contacted TMV through the fanpage. After several consultations, obtaining information, we are certainly potential customers, TMV staff revealed the address.
According to the schedule, the next day, PV arrived at the address No. 5, alley 216 Trung Kính (Cầu Giấy, Hà Nội), we were greeted by a man who claimed to be the manager of TMV NT Korea.
Although not a doctor or medical staff, after bringing "potential customers" to the waiting room, this man asked us to provide some information about our history of using anesthetics to prepare for surgery.
"Please provide your history of using anesthetics before, have you had any reactions or allergies? Because if you don't, we'll have to anesthetize you before surgery," the man claiming to be the manager of TMV NT Korea said.
After providing the required information, PV was invited to meet the doctor directly at the location introduced as the operating room of TMV.
Inside the operating room of NT Korea Beauty Salon
Inside the 30m2 room, on the 6th floor (called the operating room of TMV NT Korea), the room is poorly arranged, with 2 beds and a light used for surgery, the room is also equipped with a bed for the doctor's personal use, such as sleeping, eating, and even playing with their child right there.
Seeing "potential customers", Dr. Thi Hoa immediately asked PV to lie on the operating table for examination, despite not knowing the customer's actual needs.
In addition to surgery in the intimate areas, Dr. Thi Hoa advertised that this clinic performs all related beauty services, from nose lifting, eyelid surgery, to connecting with hospitals to lift breasts... as long as customers have a need. However, most surgeries will take place in this room to "save" customers.
Although this is an operating room, meaning it must meet strict conditions according to health regulations, such as facility, medical equipment, and personnel... this room is no different from a bedroom.
Regarding personnel, in addition to the man who claimed to be the manager, there is only one person who claims to be Dr. Thi Hoa who performs all stages from examination, consultation, surgery to... persuading customers.
According to health regulations, only specialized clinics for plastic surgery are allowed to have operating rooms. Meanwhile, at beauty salons that are invasive, use injectable anesthetics, and perform surgery to change the shape of the body, it is not allowed.
To persuade "potential customers", Dr. Thi Hoa showed PV a series of photos of successful surgeries performed at this very room, with PV.
"These are 3 surgeries I just performed today, all of which are lip surgery, vaginal surgery, and tightening the vagina. All of my previous customers have regained their youthful pleasure. You can be assured, I will find a way to handle your case, making you happy and satisfied," Dr. Thi Hoa assured.
"You can be assured, I will make it look natural, like you didn't have surgery at all. The cost is also more reasonable than outside, just 2,660,000 VND per service," Dr. Thi Hoa persuaded to close the deal.
Self-proclaimed doctor to lure customers?
To create trust for customers to feel secure using the service, Dr. Hoa introduced herself as currently working at Ha Thanh Private General Hospital (No. 61 Vu Thang, O Chua Dua, Dong Da), if customers want, the doctor can perform surgery at the hospital, but the cost will be much higher than performing directly at this operating room.
When seeing the reporter still hesitant, Dr. Thi Hoa used all means to persuade, from convincing to begging to reserve a spot with a deposit of 500,000 VND.
"If you transfer today, I will give you a free package of rose petals, which will help your "that" stay pink forever. Please transfer it to me, I will give you a free service. You have to hurry, because I have to summarize with the accountant later," Dr. Thi Hoa persuaded.
Claiming that we were not ready to undergo minor surgery, PV left and agreed to meet Dr. Thi Hoa at TMV NT Korea on another day.
According to a source from Lao Dong, at Ha Thanh Private General Hospital, there is no doctor, labor contract, or partner with the name Nguyen Thi Hoa or the name Dr. Thi Hoa. The fact that this person self-advertises and introduces herself as a hospital employee has been confirmed by the hospital's representative as untrue.
According to PGS.TS Pham Ba Nha, Vinmec Times City International General Hospital, many patients have had to be hospitalized in a critical condition after undergoing beauty treatments in intimate areas at unauthorized facilities, lacking safety conditions.
"Due to childbirth or aging over time, many women are self-conscious about their intimate areas and want to undergo beauty treatments. Many people have undergone these services at unauthorized facilities, beauty salons, and unlicensed clinics, lacking safety conditions.
In the course of treatment, we have had to rescue many patients from the "hatchet of death" after undergoing beauty treatments in intimate areas at private clinics. Some patients have been hospitalized with severe conditions such as bleeding, vaginal bleeding leading to cardiac arrest, and are extremely critical.
Some young doctors who have just graduated without any specialty see other doctors performing these services easily and also do it. However, this is not easy, as it involves the safety of the patient's body, which must be prioritized," Dr. Nha said.
According to Lao Dong's investigation, in 2018, TMV NT Korea had an address at No. 5, alley 216 Trung Kính, Yên Hòa Ward, Cầu Giấy District, which was fined by the Ha Noi Department of Health for operating a surgery room without permission.
According to the revelation of the owner of NT Korea Beauty Salon, this facility still receives and performs surgeries for many customers every day. The surgeries are often performed quickly, with only one person claiming to be Dr. Thi Hoa, with many safety risks.
