On April 17, speaking with Lao Dong, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga (character's name has been changed, born in 1971, residing in Binh Nguyen commune, Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province) confirmed that she has not yet received the bonus of 2 billion VND, despite winning the lawsuit against Hue Lottery Company Limited (Hue Ticket Company).

Previously, on March 25, the People's Court of Huong Thuy Town opened a first-instance trial of the case of "District on payment of lottery ticket bonuses in favor of lottery" between Ms. Nga and the defendant, Hue Lottery Company.
At the trial, the Trial Council accepted Ms. Nga's entire lawsuit, ordering the lottery company to pay VND2 billion - corresponding to the special prize value of the lottery ticket with the number 386552 (F) - along with the first instance fee award.
Although Ms. Nga's winning ticket was torn at the end due to rain while working in the fields, the appraisal results of Hue City Police had previously determined that this was a real ticket, the numbers were not erased or forged. However, due to not meeting the criteria of "aperfect appearance, original size" according to the company's regulations, the ticket was refused payment, leading to a dispute.

According to lawyer Nguyen Van Ky - Ms. Nga's legal representative - the defendant company has not yet paid the bonus because the verdict has not yet come into effect.
The payment of bonuses can only be made after April 26, when the first instance judgment is officially effective and there are no more appeals or appeals, said Mr. Ky.
According to information from Ms. Nguyet's representative, the appeal period is 15 days, then the appeal period is 15 days. The official effective date of the verdict is April 26, 2025, after the deadline for appeal and appeal according to the law.
The plaintiff is waiting for the first instance civil judgment of the People's Court of Huong Thuy Town (Thua Thien Hue Province) to take legal effect to carry out procedures to receive bonuses.
During the waiting period, Ms. Nga's representative also affirmed that they will proactively coordinate with Hue Lottery Company to complete the procedures to receive bonuses immediately after the verdict takes effect.

Previously, Mr. Le Trung Phuoc - Director of Hue Lottery Company - told the press that the company respected the court's decision and would not appeal. Mr. Phuoc emphasized: "After the verdict comes into effect, we will invite customers to the headquarters to make payments in accordance with regulations."
Up to now, both the plaintiff and the defendant have not filed an appeal, which means that the first instance judgment will officially take effect on April 26.
The case has received great attention from the public because of its special nature - the winning lottery tickets were torn but confirmed to be valid by the police, raising the issue of flexibility in the awarding policy of lottery companies today.
After the trial, Ms. Nga expressed her hope that the lawsuit would become a positive precedent, urging lottery companies across the country to adjust the awarding process to be more reasonable in similar cases.
"If there is an appraisal conclusion from the authorities confirming the real tickets, the company should be flexible, avoiding putting customers in a situation where they have to file a long litigation, which is time-consuming and costly," Ms. Nga shared.
