The project started in May 2024, of which the construction cost was more than VND513 billion, the rest was for site clearance and related items.
According to the design, the project has a total length of nearly 800 m, including a main bridge over 276 m long and a system of approach roads at both ends of the bridge over 500 m long. The highlight of the project is the designed and sturdy steel cable system, combined with a decorative LED lighting system, creating an aesthetic effect at night, contributing to the formation of a traffic project with the mark of modern urban architecture.

For the Cam Van bridge project, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province approved the investment in September 2023, with a total investment of 330 billion VND. The Thanh Hoa Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board is assigned as the investor.
Cam Van Bridge is built with reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete, according to TCVN 11823-2017 standards. The project has a global width of 12 m, the bridge length to the end of the abutment is 612.43 m, including 19 spans, of which 15 spans are 33 m long and 4 spans are 24 m long.
The approach roads at both ends of the bridge have been newly invested in and built, ensuring the scale of a level III plain road, with a design speed of 80 km/h.
After nearly a year of construction, Cam Van Bridge has been officially opened to technical traffic, contributing to completing the regional traffic connection, creating favorable conditions for travel and trade for people on both banks of the Ma River, while promoting local socio-economic development.
