More than 2,200 young men from Vinh Phuc join the army
The military enlistment day in Vinh Yen city was made more joyful by the loudspeaker system broadcasting the heroic melodies of traditional revolutionary songs.
The presence of Lieutenant General Pham Duc Duyen, Political Commissar of Military Region 2 and Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong, along with leaders of departments, branches and organizations, created a great source of encouragement and motivation for the new recruits.

"Defending the Fatherland is the responsibility and sacred duty of every citizen towards the country. Therefore, I feel very honored and proud to join the army this time," said new recruit Lam The Ngoc.
Just turned 18, twin brothers Nguyen Chi Cong and Nguyen Cong Chuc, Dong Tinh commune, Tam Duong district voluntarily wrote an application and enthusiastically joined the military.
Unable to hide his joy and pride, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, father of two new recruits, shared: "My wife and I have four children, Chi Cong and Cong Chuc are the youngest twins. Both have completed the political theory training program for Party members in the locality.
When receiving the notice from the commune about recruiting citizens to join the military service, the two brothers volunteered to ask their parents for permission to join the army. My wife and I are very excited and confident that in the military environment, our children will be able to study, train, and become more mature, and most importantly, fulfill their military service - a task assigned by the Party and the State."

In 2025, Van Chan district was assigned the target of calling 200 citizens to join the army, of which 165 citizens will perform military service and 35 citizens will perform police service.
Through the examinations, the district has completed the target of selecting citizens to join the army, ensuring the quantity and quality are higher than the previous year. With 100% of the new recruits meeting the requirements of political qualities, health and education level; of which 48 new recruits were party members before joining the army and 21 new recruits wrote a voluntary application to join the army.

As one of three female soldiers from Dak Lak province joining the army in 2025, Ms. Le Thi Hong Anh (residing in Cu Ebur commune, Buon Ma Thuot city) could not hide her pride.

"Many of my relatives are also working in the police and military. Therefore, I always wanted to become a soldier to continue my family's tradition," Hong Anh added.

In Hai Chau district, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City attended the ceremony and saw off the new recruits. This year, Hai Chau district has 240 young people leaving to perform military service and public security service at units of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security and Military Region 5.
New recruit Ha Van Phong (Hai Chau district) shared: "Enlisting in the army today, I feel very honored and proud. This is not only my childhood dream but also the responsibility of every young man towards the Fatherland. I will try my best, complete all assigned tasks well, and train myself to become a soldier of Uncle Ho's army", said Ha Van Phong.
At the military enlistment point of Lien Chieu district, Chairman of the People's Council of Da Nang City Ngo Xuan Thang attended and saw off 205 young men to join the army. Of these, 158 were military recruits and 47 were police recruits.
According to the Da Nang City Military Command, in 2025 the city will select and call 1,100 citizens to join the army to perform military service at units under the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 5 and 344 citizens to join the army to perform public security service.

Quang Ninh coal mine workers enthusiastically join the army
According to statistics, companies under the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) in Quang Ninh have more than 40 new recruits joining the army.
At Duong Huy Coal Company - TKV, in 2025, there are 5 workers who are qualified to perform military service. Notably, all 5 of these young men volunteered to join the army, some even registered before the recruitment directive.
Company leaders, unions and Military Command organized meetings to encourage new recruits and ensure full salary and bonus regimes.
Mr. Dao Trung Huy - Chairman of the Trade Union of Duong Huy Coal Company - TKV - said: During the time the company's workers perform military service, the company will support an additional 2 million VND each month until they are discharged, which is about 50 million VND. This amount will be transferred to the workers' savings account when they return to work at the company.
The company always prioritizes job placement according to the workers' wishes. But most of them decided to return to their old units and workshops where they had worked before joining the army.
In Hai Ha district, this recruitment campaign has 71 workers from Texhong Hai Ha Industrial Park leaving for military service.
In addition to the district's gifts, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, the District Labor Federation and the District Military Command mobilized 57 million VND to give gifts to more than 190 new recruits in the district.
Mr. Bach Tung Lam - Vice Chairman of the Hai Ha District Labor Federation - said: All 71 union members who joined the army were met, encouraged, and given gifts by the company and the union. After being discharged from the army, they will be given priority in finding jobs according to their wishes. In other cases, the District Labor Federation will support vocational training and job referrals.
Over the years, workers have shown remarkable maturity after returning from military service, many of whom have been promoted to leadership and management positions.
On the morning of February 13, 13/13 districts, towns and cities of Quang Ninh province held military enlistment ceremonies. More than 2,190 outstanding young men left for military service.
