On the morning of September 9, Team K74 proceeded to exhume 4 sets of martyrs' remains discovered at groove No. 2 in Zone A, Le Thi Rieng Park, and at the same time continued to widen the groove for inspection, ensuring no sets of remains or artifacts were missed.
Previously, on the afternoon of September 8, in the process of continuing to expand the search at Le Thi Rieng Park, Team K74 discovered groove No. 2, initially there were 4 sets of martyrs' remains.
Canal No. 2 is located alternately, on the left side of canal No. 3 (viewed from Cach Mang Thang Tam street). The discovery of canal No. 2 is an important basis for continuing to compare with diagrams and documents, determining the rules for arranging burial canals in the area.
In the process of exhuming and expanding groove No. 2, functional forces fully recorded the location, direction of lying, burial layer and related traces, serving research, comparison and determination of martyrs' identities later.
The Ho Chi Minh City Command will continue to focus forces and vehicles, expanding the search in the direction of ditch No. 2 and related suspicious areas.
As of 9 am on September 9, functional forces have discovered and collected a total of 596 sets of martyrs' remains at Le Thi Rieng Park.
This number is updated from 592 sets of remains as of the end of September 7 and after Team K74 exhumed 4 more martyrs' remains at graveyard No. 2 on the morning of September 9.
