Dismantling constructions occupying park land in Ho Chi Minh City

HCMC - Binh Tan District authorities are dismantling a construction occupying park land for business purposes, following a report from Lao Dong Newspaper.

On December 4, the authorities of Binh Tan District and the People's Committee of Tan Tao A Ward dismantled the construction encroaching on park land in Hai Thanh residential area.

Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Nguyen Kien Giang - Vice Chairman of Tan Tao A Ward People's Committee said that after the district issued a decision to handle administrative violations, the ward mobilized the violators to dismantle themselves according to regulations, and at the same time, the functional forces of the ward and district also supported the violators to dismantle together.

Previously, on November 13, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article “People are upset because public park land is being occupied”, reflecting that many people in Hai Thanh residential area, Tan Tao A ward, Binh Tan district, are upset because public park land is being occupied.

Hai Thanh residential area has been put into use for many years, but part of the land used as a park is being illegally occupied by Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong's family for private use.

After Lao Dong Newspaper reported, Mr. Vu Chi Kien - Vice Chairman of Binh Tan District People's Committee directed the district's functional forces and Tan Tao A Ward People's Committee to handle the case of public park land being occupied.
