Previously, at about 10:30 am, a 29-seater passenger car with license plate 29B-170. 45 carrying 25 people traveling from Hanoi to Van Ho when reaching Km 04+200 of the Nien - Na Bai inter-village road, due to the mountainous terrain, many curves, narrow road surface, the driver lost control, the car plunged into a low-lying slope about 100m deep.
The accident killed 1 person on the spot, 1 person died after being taken to the hospital for emergency treatment, 5 people were seriously injured and 18 people were slightly injured. The vehicle was heavily damaged.
Immediately after the incident occurred, the traffic police, fire prevention and fighting and rescue forces of Son La Provincial Police and local authorities urgently arrived at the scene, organized rescue, took the injured to the emergency room and regulated traffic.
The cause of the accident is being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
