The holiday of April 30 - January 1 this year is forecast to increase the number of visitors to Son La. Right from the beginning of April, localities and tourism businesses have proactively upgraded facilities and completed services to meet the needs of sightseeing and relaxation.


Previously, during the recent Lunar New Year, the whole province welcomed nearly 300,000 visitors, total tourism revenue is estimated at 360 billion VND, and room occupancy rate reached about 85%. This is a positive signal for localities and businesses to continue to prepare good conditions to serve tourists.
In Ta Xua commune, a prominent destination with an altitude of over 1,600m above sea level, preparations have been basically completed. This place is favored by nature with a cool climate all year round, with frequent sea clouds, creating a unique attraction.
Check-in points such as "dinosaur backs", primeval forests, ancient Shan Tuyet tea region or Ta Xua prairie will continue to attract a large number of tourists.
Currently, the whole commune has more than 170 tourism service business establishments, of which 88 households are doing homestays, meeting about 1,500 customers/day and night. Along with that is a system of cloud hunting cafes, car rental services, and well-organized tour guides.
Mr. Do Van Xiem - Chairman of Ta Xua Commune People's Committee said that up to this point, most accommodation facilities have been fully booked during the holidays. The locality also plans to organize cultural exchange activities, cuisine and folk games of the H'Mong people to enhance the experience for tourists.
From a business perspective, Ms. Thao Thi Vua, owner of Vi Nha coffee shop, shared: "We have expanded the space, added drinks and typical dishes to serve customers during this peak season.


At Moc Chau National Tourist Area, the number of visitors is also forecast to increase sharply. Attractions such as Dai Yem Waterfall, Moc Chau pedestrian street, Moc Huong Cave, Ngu Dong Ban On, heart-shaped tea hill, Na Ka plum valley... have completed the renovation stage, accommodation rooms, ready to welcome guests.
Notably, Moc Chau Island continues to be a highlight with Bach Long glass bridge. This tourist area maintains an average of about 1,000 visitors/day and night. The entire accommodation system has been fully booked during the holiday.
Mr. Hoang Manh Duy - Deputy Managing Director of Moc Chau Island, said: "We organize activities imbued with the highland identity such as Xoe dance, H'Mong khen, traditional culinary experiences so that tourists have more experiences when coming to Moc Chau.
Not only Ta Xua and Moc Chau, many other destinations in Son La are also proactively preparing to welcome visitors. At Pha Din Pass (Binh Thuan commune), community tourism services are being effectively exploited. This is one of the "four great passes" of the Northwest, recognized as a national historical relic, attracting tourists with its majestic scenery.
Mr. Duong Gia Dinh - Chairman of Binh Thuan Commune People's Committee said that the locality has many advantages in developing tourism, especially cultural tourism and experiential agriculture. The holiday of April 30 - May 1 lasts, the number of visitors is forecast to increase sharply, this is also an opportunity to attract tourists and increase income for people in the commune.
In addition, tourist destinations such as Quynh Nhai lake, Ngoc Chien community tourism, Phu Yen, Van Ho... have also fully prepared conditions for infrastructure and services, ensuring safety for tourists.


With proactiveness from grassroots to local levels, Son La's tourism industry expects to serve the needs of tourists well during the holidays, while promoting the image of a safe, friendly, and culturally rich destination.
