On the afternoon of November 20, answering Lao Dong reporter, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vu Thu district (Thai Binh province) - confirmed that at 10:00 a.m. this morning, Mr. Tran Trung Nghia's household (residing in Tan Phong commune, Vu Thu district) had completed the self-dismantling of the entire illegal concrete mixing station of his family located outside the right dike of Tra Ly, passing through Tan Phong commune.
This self-dismantling was recorded to have started at around 8:30 p.m. on November 14. At that time, Mr. Nghia's family hired a crane to lower the silo in the presence of dike officials and representatives of the Vu Thu District People's Committee. At 8:00 p.m. on November 19, the violator continued to hire a crane to dismantle the mixing station system and this morning (November 20), he demolished the water tank himself.
This is the result of the meeting on November 4 organized by the People's Committee of Vu Thu district with the content of continuing to strengthen and tighten the handling of violations against illegal concrete mixing stations in the district.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Tran Duc Toan - Vice Chairman of Vu Thu District People's Committee; the meeting was attended by leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Office of the District People's Council - People's Committee, leaders of the Dike Management Department of Vu Thu District, Chairmen of the People's Committees of Tan Lap, Viet Hung, Tan Phong communes and 4 owners of illegal concrete mixing stations built in these 3 communes.
At the meeting, the four concrete mixing station owners pledged to dismantle all illegal constructions and return the site before December 5.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of Vu Thu District People's Committee Tran Duc Toan requested the mixing station owners to strictly implement the above commitment. In case they do not voluntarily dismantle, after December 5, the District People's Committee will direct the specialized department to complete the dossier and strictly handle it according to the provisions of law.
Previously, as Lao Dong reported, on October 30 and 31, under the direction of the People's Committee of Vu Thu district, departments, branches, and units coordinated with local authorities of Vu Van and Viet Thuan communes to organize propaganda and mobilization before enforcing measures to remedy the consequences of administrative violations against 2 business households in the area.
Case 1, at the Red River sandbank corresponding to K182+600 of the Ta Hong Ha II dike, Vu Van commune, Mr. Vu Van Hung's household (residing in Nhan Binh village, Vu Van commune); case 2 is Mr. Nguyen Xuan Mai's household (residing in Thai Hac village, Viet Thuan commune) arbitrarily installed and welded 2 concrete mixing station silos on the land outside the Red River sandbank at the corresponding location K181+400 of the Ta Hong Ha II dike, Viet Thuan commune.
After being explained, informed, and mobilized, the two cases voluntarily complied with the order to dismantle the illegal constructions and restore the site to its original state. Instead of having to enforce, the authorities of Vu Thu district only had to support and supervise the households during the process of self-dismantling the violations.
Thus, in less than 1 month, Vu Thu district has organized propaganda and mobilized people to complete the self-dismantling of 3 illegal concrete mixing stations in the district. This is also the leading and pioneering locality in Thai Binh province to direct drastic and strong handling of violations of dikes and land, especially illegal concrete mixing stations built outside the river dike.
The leader of Vu Thu district said that in the coming time, the district will continue to strengthen direction and strictly handle violations and problems related to land and dikes, especially violations outside the dikes and river banks in the coastal communes.
