On June 24, the People's Council of Soc Trang province passed a resolution on the use of minerals as common materials for the Component Project 4 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Construction Investment Project for 4 sand mines.
Accordingly, MS 08 mine (Area 11) is located in Song Phung commune, Dai Ngai town (Long Phu district) and An Thanh 1 commune (Cu Lao Dung district), with an area of 35 hectares, estimated reserve of about 700,000 m3.
MS 09 mine (Area 12) is located in Long Phu town (Long Phu district) and An Thanh Tay commune, Dai An 1 commune (Cu Lao Dung district) with an area of 100 hectares, estimated reserve of about 600,000 m3.
MR 12 mine (Area 3-MR) in An Lac Tay commune (Ke Sach district) has an area of about 32.47 hectares, estimated reserve of about 185,854 m3.
MS 02 mine is located in Phong Nam commune and An Lac Tay commune (Ke Sach district - sand mine downstream of MS 01 mine) in Area 1 of the Provincial Planning, with an area of about 03 hectares and an estimated reserve of about 63,000 m3.
The People's Committee of Soc Trang province said that the implementation of 4 sand mines using minerals as common materials aims to speed up exploitation procedures, meeting the construction progress of Component Project 4 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Construction Investment Project.
