The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ninh province has just issued a notice publicizing the list of boat anchorage points in Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay in 2026.
According to the announcement, Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay areas have 35 boat anchorage points. Among them, Ha Long area has 11 points, Quang Yen 2 points, Van Don 14 points and Cam Pha 8 points.
The list of anchorage points in 2026 adds some new locations such as Hon Gai Port area, Ha Tu ward; Cai Xuong canal area, Quang Yen ward; Hanh Toan port area, Hai Hoa commune.
The public disclosure of the list of anchorage points aims to strengthen state management of ship anchorage activities, improve the efficiency of management of tidal flat areas and fishing activities in Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay areas.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Environment requests localities, functional agencies, port authorities and relevant units to propagate and guide vehicles to anchor in the right places; proactively take shelter when there are storms, thunderstorms, and tornadoes; develop plans to manage the number of vehicles anchored at each announced point.
Localities and relevant units review and propose to plant warning signs and direction signs, determine the scope of ship and boat anchoring areas according to regulations; strengthen inspection and strictly handle acts of anchoring in the wrong places.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Environment noted not to allow fishing vessels that do not meet operating conditions, fishing vessels that violate regulations on combating IUU fishing, prohibited fishing vessels, vessels that are not registered, inspected, and licensed to anchor regularly in areas under management.
In the process of implementation, if difficulties, obstacles or the need to adjust and supplement anchorage points arise, units and localities shall promptly report to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development for synthesis and advice to competent authorities for consideration and resolution according to regulations.
