On October 29, a representative of the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security said that the unit had just piloted the painting of signs with "Stop" signs on branch routes to main roads, requiring traffic participants to stop in front of the sea and only be allowed to go when safety is ensured.
According to the Traffic Police Department, the regulation on giving way when going from the branch road to the main road, from inside the alley to the main road or from the house to the street has been promoted and mobilized for many years. However, reality shows that many people, especially motorbike drivers, still do not comply, leading to the risk of traffic accidents.
To solve this problem, the Traffic Police Department has piloted the painting of the slogan: "Stop the road - safe to go" with the sign R.122 "Stop" on the branch road to the main road, forcing traffic participants (including priority vehicles) to stop in front of the sign, only allowed to go when there are permitted signals or when there is no longer a risk of traffic safety on the road.
When seeing signs and reading lines of letters painted on the road, drivers must stop the vehicle and observe both sides to ensure safety before allowing the vehicle to continue.
According to the representative of the Traffic Police Department, this regulation has been applied in Japan, when drivers see a STOP (stop) sign, they are forced to stop for 3 seconds to carry out the "stop - confirm - go" process. If they violate this violation, they will be fined from 1 to 1.3 million VND and have 2 to 6 points deducted from their driving license.
