On the morning of February 12, the weather in many central areas and inner districts of Ho Chi Minh City appeared with a thick layer of fog, limiting visibility and obscuring high-rise buildings. Not only was the sky gloomy, but also a feeling of coolness when moving outdoors made people feel different.
Ms. Nguyen Thuy Trang (resident of Vuon Lai ward) shared: "This morning I went to work and thought it was about to rain heavily or there was smoke and dust. The buildings in the distance are almost obscured, looking very strange. The air is also cool and slightly cold, feeling like Da Lat weather.

Meanwhile, Ms. Le Thi Hai (Cau Ong Lanh ward) said: "In the city, I rarely see such thick fog in the days near Tet. This morning when I opened the door, I saw the sky was dimly white, and it was still a bit cold, the feeling was very different. The weather changes erratically, so I am also a bit worried about my health.
The cool morning air makes many people wear thin jackets when going out. The slight change in the weather brings a different feeling, in contrast to the dry sunshine that is familiar in the Southern dry season.
According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, the weather pattern affecting the region is due to the continental cold high pressure moving eastward and weakening. Northeast winds have moderate to strong intensity over the sea area in the Southeast region. Above, subtropical high pressure with its axis through the Central Central region has little change in intensity. East wind disturbances at high altitude operate well in the first 24 hours, then gradually weaken.
The weather in the Southern region will continue to have showers and thunderstorms today, with heavy rain mainly concentrated in the afternoon, locally with moderate rain in some places. Intermittent sunny days. Lowest temperature in the East from 22-25 degrees C, the North of the East in some places below 22 degrees C, the West 23-26 degrees C. Highest temperature in the whole region fluctuates from 30-34 degrees C.
