On the morning of February 12, at the National Funeral Home (No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi City), the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the family solemnly organized the Memorial Service and Funeral Ceremony for Comrade Doan Duy Thanh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party of the 5th and 6th terms; National Assembly deputies of the 7th and 8th terms; former Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee; Minister of Foreign Trade, Minister of Foreign Economic Relations (now the Ministry of Industry and Trade); Director of the Central Institute for Economic Management Research; Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (now the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Federation); Vice Chairman of the Council of Ministers (now the Government), according to the state funeral ceremony.
Comrade Doan Duy Thanh (birth name Doan Huu Tong, alias: Thanh Duy, Thanh Linh, Thanh Tong), born September 15, 1929; hometown: Cong Hoa commune, Kim Thanh district, Hai Duong province (old), now Lai Khe commune, Hai Phong city; permanent residence at house number 216, Doi Can street, Ngoc Ha ward, Hanoi city. Comrade participated in the revolution in July 1945; joined the Party on October 15, 1946.
After a period of serious illness, although he was wholeheartedly cared for and treated by the Party, State, collective of professors, doctors and family, due to old age and weakness, the comrade passed away at 6:43 am on February 6, 2026 (ie, December 19th of the year At Ty) at Central Military Hospital 108, at the age of 97.
Throughout his revolutionary activities, he has made many achievements and contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. He was awarded the First-class Independence Medal by the Party and State; the 80-year Party Badge and many other noble orders and medals.
Comrade Doan Duy Thanh's memorial service will be held at 9:00 AM on February 12, 2026.

Comrade Doan Duy Thanh's burial ceremony will be held at 9:45 am on February 13, 2026 (ie, December 26 of the year At Ty) at his hometown cemetery in Tuong Vu village, Lai Khe commune, Hai Phong city.
