Included in the list of proposed "old village"
Presenting the inspection report, Head of the Urban Committee of the City People's Council Dam Van Huan said that the Urban Committee proposed reviewing the list of intangible cultural heritages (10 lists of typical relics managed by the Hanoi People's Committee) to avoid duplication.
The City People's Committee proposed a list of ancient villages including 2 villages, Duong Lam and Cu Da. Among the two villages, Duong Lam ancient village has been identified by the city as being on the List of Hanoi Ancient Villages.
Cu Da village is a village with a long tradition, but is collecting documents to be recognized as an ancient village (according to the report of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports). In the city today, there are many other traditional villages with unique cultural features. Therefore, it is recommended that the City People's Committee clarify the basis and basis for proposing Cu Da Ancient Village to be included in the list of ancient villages of Hanoi.
The Urban Committee recommends adding resources for implementation such as the state budget, socialized resources, international cooperation; developing specific plans on resource mobilization, mechanisms to encourage organizations and individuals to participate in heritage conservation.
To ensure effective implementation, there needs to be a specific roadmap for heritage conservation, restoration, and promotion; applying technology in managing and supervising the status of relics and works; at the same time, developing a mechanism to monitor and evaluate the progress of the Resolution.
