Ms. Giang Thi Dung affirmed that the impact of storm No. 3 on the health sector of Lao Cai province is not small. However, the sector will soon recover and rebuild to ensure the care and protection of people's health in the area.
Deputy Minister of Health Le Duc Luan shared with the Lao Cai health sector and sent words of encouragement to the units and families of medical staff affected by storm No. 3.

On this occasion, the delegation presented gifts, medicines, supplies and decided to exempt all tuition fees for Lao Cai province's medical staff studying at Bach Mai Hospital worth 6 billion VND. In addition, the Lao Cai Department of Health was supported with 500 million VND to overcome flood damage after storm No. 3.
According to information from Lao Cai Department of Health, the impact of storm No. 3 caused 24 medical stations/clinics in the area to be flooded; medical examination and treatment equipment and medicine cabinets were swept away and damaged...
Currently, 21 regional health stations and clinics have recovered and resumed medical examination and treatment.
Three medical stations in Tan Duong, Pho Rang, and Viet Tien communes (Bao Yen district) were flooded. The unit has organized repairs, but the medical examination and treatment equipment was severely damaged, so they only organized the distribution of medicine from support sources to the people.
In addition, 415 families of medical staff were affected by flooding and landslides due to storm No. 3, many families had to evacuate completely and suffered heavy economic losses.
