On the afternoon of June 25, 10 new communes and wards in Gia Lai conducted a trial operation of the 2-level government model according to the scenario and proposal of Binh Dinh province.
In Pleiku ward - the central unit of Gia Lai province, preparations are ready. Cadres, civil servants and a computer system connected to the network are deployed to start implementing administrative procedures for people and businesses.
Present in the new Pleiku ward, Mr. Nguyen Huu Que - Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee said that in recent times, the Public Administration Centers of Gia Lai and Binh Dinh provinces have closely coordinated to make administrative activities go smoothly and conveniently.
Pleiku Ward is testing a non-border administrative model - meaning that people from any locality can come to submit land records, household registration... and it will be resolved.
People can also submit their application online through the National Public Service Portal, and officials and civil servants will process the application online quickly.
According to our initial records, all procedures, documents, and people coming to receive the results are convenient.
"Stable network system, simple transaction portal, we believe that from July 1, when officially put into operation, interconnected administrative procedures across the new Gia Lai province will serve people and businesses better" - Mr. Que added.
Previously, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province successfully tested this model at 58/58 new commune-level units.
After that, Binh Dinh province drafted a "Scenario for implementing the trial operation of the 2-level local government model of Gia Lai province (new)".
The purpose of the test is to assess the skills of receiving, processing, handling records and returning administrative procedure results of cadres and civil servants at the commune level of the new Gia Lai province.
This also helps to check and evaluate network infrastructure and equipment at the People's Committees at the commune level and the Public Administration Service Centers at the commune level.
