On June 23, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province said that the unit had received an official dispatch on the coordination of the implementation of the trial operation of the 2-level local government model from the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province.
Previously, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province successfully piloted this model at 58/58 new commune-level units. After that, Binh Dinh province drafted a "Scenario for implementing a trial operation of the 2-level local government model of the new Gia Lai province", expected to be implemented on June 25".
The purpose of the test is to assess the skills of receiving, processing, handling records and returning administrative procedure results of cadres and civil servants at the commune level of the new Gia Lai province. At the same time, this also helps to check and evaluate network infrastructure and equipment at the People's Committees at the commune level and the Public Administration Service Centers at the commune level.
Administrative procedures related to land such as: land division, land consolidation, changes in land use rights, issuance of copies of civil status certificates... will be resolved in the form of non- boundary, connectivity throughout the province.
The Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee selected 5 new commune-level units to conduct the pilot project, transferred the dossier to 5 new commune-level units in Binh Dinh province and the Binh Dinh Provincial Tax Department to resolve and approve the results. The results will then be returned to the Public Administration Centers of 5 commune-level units in the new Gia Lai province.
At the trial operation, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and localities will supervise the entire process of receiving and processing administrative records.
Due to the large workload, units need to coordinate closely and smoothly to prepare for the official operation of the model in the new Gia Lai province on July 1, 2025.
