At 1:00 PM on July 3rd, information from Chairman of Quang Ha Commune People's Committee Hoang Phi Truong to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, at about 12:30 PM on July 3rd, functional forces found the last crew member in the QN-90568-TS fishing boat sinking in Quang Ninh waters.
Thus, all 7 crew members on fishing vessel QN-90568-TS have been rescued.
Previously, at about 3 am on the same day, fishing vessel QN-90568-TS owned and captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, born in 1986, residing in Phu Hai neighborhood, Quang Ha commune, Quang Ninh province, encountered an incident and sank while operating at sea.
The location of the ship accident is at coordinates 20°49.347'N; 107°48.59'E, area near Co To special zone, Quang Ninh province.
At the time of the incident, there were 7 crew members on board, including the ship owner and 6 workers.
Immediately after receiving the information, the People's Committee of Quang Ha commune coordinated with the Sub-Department of Sea, Islands and Fisheries of Quang Ninh province, the Fisheries Resources Surveillance force, the Provincial Border Guard and functional agencies to mobilize forces and vehicles to deploy search and rescue.
During the search, functional forces rescued 6 crew members. One remaining crew member went missing.
After many efforts to maintain the search in the area where the ship encountered the accident.
At about 12:30 pm on the same day, the last crew member was found safe.
The cause of the incident is being further verified and clarified by functional agencies.
