In the days leading up to Tet, the atmosphere at many photo studios in Hanoi becomes busier when the number of customers booking appointments increases significantly compared to previous months.
According to Mr. Khuat Duy Nghia (owner of a photo shop in Hanoi), the number of customers this year has increased and arrived earlier than last year.
If in previous years, the peak usually fell about a month before Tet, this year, right from two months ago, the shooting schedule was quite tight," Mr. Nghia said.
To ensure service quality, Mr. Nghia's shop proactively limits the number of customers per day: "We only accept a maximum of 20 customers/day to ensure customer experience, while maintaining the working pace and quality of the team of photographers.

Along with the increase in the number of customers, the trend of Tet photography this year has also changed. According to Mr. Nghia, if in the past nostalgic settings, pagodas or spaces with ancient colors were popular, this year the photography style is leaning towards naturalness, youthfulness and closeness.
Many customers choose to take outdoor photos at familiar locations such as Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, Museum of Ethnology, instead of concepts imbued with classical elements like last year," Mr. Khuat Duy Nghia shared.
Recorded from other photo studios, Mr. Le Thai Tuan - manager of a photo studio in Hanoi - said that the demand for Tet photos this year has increased sharply, mainly concentrated in the group of young customers from 16 - 28 years old.
Taking photos in ao dai is still the main choice, but the style is more restrained, towards minimalism. Concepts often revolve around the familiar Tet space, ao dai brings a touch of transition between tradition and modernity," Mr. Tuan said.

Regarding service prices, Mr. Tuan said that this year's Tet photo packages are basically kept stable compared to last year.
Each photo concept with me currently ranges from about 1 million VND, to help customers comfortably save Tet moments while still ensuring service quality," Mr. Tuan shared.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Linh (Lang ward, Hanoi) said that this year she decided to go to take Tet photos early to avoid the crowd.
I booked nearly three weeks in advance because I was afraid that close to Tet there would be no good time slots. The price of about more than 1 million VND for a photo package with both costumes and makeup, I found it quite reasonable, not having to prepare much but still having a satisfactory Tet photo set to save memories with the family," Ms. Linh shared.
Sharing the same feeling, Mr. Tran Minh Duc (Yen Hoa ward, Hanoi) said that he chose a minimalist style, taking light outdoor photos.
Natural settings like Hoan Kiem Lake create a youthful, unpretentious feeling. Many of my friends this year also went to take photos early to capture the last moments of the year," Mr. Duc said.
Faced with increased demand at the end of the year, photo studios in Hanoi are busy entering the peak season, proactively preparing human resources and services. Booking appointments early is considered a solution to help customers have more time choices, and at the same time help photo studios maintain service quality in the days leading up to Tet.
