The incident occurred when there were many passengers on the Kim Hoang passenger car. The assaulted driver only knew to hold his head and endure, not daring to resist. Witnessing the incident, a passenger sitting next to him tried to intervene and protect.
After a few hours of posting, the clip attracted a large number of views and interactions. Many people expressed outrage at the aggressive and violent behavior, saying that this behavior could be dangerous for passengers on both vehicles as well as vehicles participating in traffic.
Kim Hoang Passenger Transport Co., Ltd. confirmed that the assaulted person is a business driver, named Tran Van H. (born 1985, residing in Hoai Nhon Bac ward).
According to this business, at 8:34 am on January 31, driver H. was driving a passenger car on Tay Son street (section passing through Quy Nhon Bac ward) in the direction of Quy Nhon - Hoai Nhon.
During the traffic, the car was suddenly cut in the front by the driver of a 16-seater passenger car of Hoa Trang bus company (Tam Quan ward), then rushed in and assaulted, even though there had been no conflict or traffic collision between the two sides before.
It is unclear why the Hoa Trang car driver acted like that. This person is very aggressive, and previously beat a driver of another car company running on the same route. Driver H. suffered head and face injuries and is currently in a state of panic. We are making a complaint to the police agency, requesting verification and handling according to regulations to prevent similar acts from recurring," said a representative of Kim Hoang Passenger Transport Co., Ltd.
On the afternoon of February 1st, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of Quy Nhon Bac Ward People's Committee said that they are directing functional agencies to investigate, verify and handle the case according to regulations.
Leaders of Quy Nhon Bac Ward Police confirmed that they have grasped the information about the driver being assaulted on the road spreading on social networks and are investigating and handling it. "We have invited relevant parties to work, and it is still in the process of investigation and clarification," this person informed.
