Accordingly, experts conducted clinical examinations, health checks, sample testing and Purevax vaccination of the tiger.
Tigers are checked and vaccinated to prevent disease and improve the effectiveness of long-term tiger care and breeding in the National Park.
Also on this occasion, experts from the Nuoc Viet Wildlife Conservation Center and the Center for Nature Conservation and Development also checked the health of 12 other animals being cared for and raised here.
Veterinary staff of the Center for Animal Rescue, Conservation and Development of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park are also trained by experts in a number of professional skills such as anesthesia, anesthesia monitoring, anesthesia recovery, Wound treatment, some surgical techniques.
7 individuals here were discovered and arrested in a case of illegal wildlife trafficking in Nghe An province.
By 2022, Pu Mat National Park (Nghe An province) had transferred the 7 tigers to the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Organisms, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park for care and conservation.
When received, each tiger weighed an average of 56-64kg. After 2 years of raising and caring for them, these tigers grew rapidly, the largest one weighing more than 1.5 quintals.
