On April 29, at Tinh Bien International Border Gate, the Border Guard Command of An Giang province coordinated with functional agencies to receive 33 Vietnamese citizens returned by Cambodia.
These are citizens from many localities of Vietnam, illegally exiting through Cambodia by many routes, at many different times.
In this phase, the An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command received and arrested 1 subject wanted by the Vietnamese Police. Through struggle, the subject confessed his name was Trinh Quang Khai (born in 1994, residing in Ho Chi Minh City). Khai is a subject who intentionally caused injury and then fled to Cambodia from 2022. The Border Guard Command is coordinating with functional agencies to investigate and hand over Khai to handle according to the law.
The remaining citizens have been taken back to their localities by functional agencies, in coordination with localities, to complete legal procedures.
