The organization of the groundbreaking ceremony for the projects aims to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026).
The event is organized in a direct combined online form at many bridge points in the city.
At the central bridge point located in the Nguyen Co Thach - Mai Chi Tho intersection area (An Khanh ward), Ho Chi Minh City organizes the simultaneous commencement of two large projects including Metro Line No. 2 (Ben Thanh - Thu Thiem section) and component project 4 (Central Square) belonging to the Central Square and the New Administrative Center.
Ben Thanh - Thu Thiem Metro is invested in the form of public-private partnership (PPP), Construction - Transfer (BT) contract. The line is about 6 km long, going underground the entire route from Ben Thanh across the Saigon River to Thu Thiem, then running along Mai Chi Tho street to Thu Thiem station.

The line has 6 underground stations, completed in 2030, helping to increase the existing central connection with Thu Thiem and play an important role in the urban railway axis connecting Tan Son Nhat airport - city center - Long Thanh airport.
The Central Square and Administrative Center project has a scale of about 46.72 ha, invested under a BT contract, and is expected to be completed in 2028.
The administrative center is 7.84 hectares wide, designed to be 30 stories high, meeting the working needs of about 8,000 officials and civil servants, and serving 1,500 - 2,000 people and businesses every day according to the "one-stop shop" model.

Central Square has a capacity of about 268,000 people, possibly up to 500,000 people for major events.

At the online bridge point in the Nha Rong wharf area (Xom Chieu ward), Ho Chi Minh City started the project to renovate and embellish the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City Branch and awarded the investment approval decision for Can Gio International Transshipment Port.
The Ho Chi Minh Museum area will be expanded to about 11 hectares, nearly 10 times larger than it is now. The city will also expand Nguyen Tat Thanh street towards the port with a minimum scale of 8 lanes, and build a new Tan Thuan 1 bridge.

The remaining area of Nha Rong - Khanh Hoi port area will be used as a landscape park, riverside public space, and passenger port. The project is also implemented under a BT contract.
The Can Gio International Transshipment Port project has a total project investment of about 128.872 billion VND (equivalent to 4.99 billion USD), invested by the consortium Vietnam National Shipping Lines - Saigon Port - Terminal Investment Limited Holding S.A.

The total scale of the project is about 571 ha, the length of the main wharf is about 7.5 km, the designed capacity reaches 4.8 million TEUs by 2030 and 16.9 million TEUs by 2047.
In addition, the online starting point for the Berjaya International University Urban Area project in Xuan Thoi Son commune.

The Berjaya International University Urban Area project has an area of about 880 hectares, oriented to develop as a comprehensive urban area associated with training, research and innovation functions.
The project has a population scale of 135,000 urban residents and 60,000 students, including full functional areas, education, services, commerce and social infrastructure.
