On August 12, at Tinh Bien International Border Gate, An Giang Province, the Border Guard Station Command of Tinh Bien International Border Gate, the Border Guard Command of An Giang Province, in coordination with functional forces, organized a reception for 72 Vietnamese citizens returned by Cambodia.
72 Vietnamese citizens were returned to Cambodia at different times and at different border gates by Cambodia.
Through investigation verification, the above citizens went to Cambodia for hire and were deported by the General Department of Migration - Ministry of Home Affairs of Cambodia for violating regulations on entry, exit, labor, and residence in Cambodia.
During the return procedures, the authorities discovered and arrested 1 subject named Tran Chi An, with a wanted list for intentional injury and 1 subject named Dang Hoang Minh, with a wanted list for property appropriation. The two subjects were handed over to the police for handling according to the law.
Immediately after receiving the report, Tinh Bien International Border Guard Station coordinated with relevant authorities to conduct medical declarations and initial legal and administrative procedures. After completing the procedures, the unit handed over the above citizens to the Immigration Department, An Giang Provincial Police continued to verify and clarify according to regulations.
