It is almost noon at Dam Market, a time when there were many buyers and sellers, but now it is surprisingly deserted. Many kiosks on the ground floor and first floor were closed quietly.
Ms. Cuc - a long-time trader - shared that some stalls have closed not because they are completely closed but because they are afraid of being inspected and fined.
According to her, many older traders do not fully understand the new regulations. The conversion from contract tax payment to electronic invoice tax payment, directly connecting with the tax authority, has confused many people.
Some traders admit that they are currently renting additional kiosks to store goods, but currently both the main stalls and the secondary stalls have to temporarily close because they are afraid that market management forces will suddenly inspect them.
This situation not only occurred at Dam market but was also recorded in other large wholesale markets such as Xom Moi market.
Faced with this situation, traders all recommend: The authorities should consider allowing them to re-declare all goods in stock at the stall, allowing them to pay taxes once in full and transparently, to continue doing business during the conversion period. A representative of the Tax Department of Region XIII said that to implement Decree 70, the tax sector has assigned tax departments and teams to proactively choose appropriate forms to propagate to businesses and business households to apply electronic invoices from cash registers.
Up to now, the Department has organized many direct and online conferences and seminars, coordinating with units to provide solutions to guide and support taxpayers. In parallel, propaganda work has been promoted through websites, Facebook, Zalo, YouTube... to help taxpayers access information in a timely manner.
