According to information from the People's Committee of Tan Hung commune, Hung Yen province, at about 6:15 am on May 15, Mr. Le Van Tuan (residing in Le Bai village, Tan Hung commune) reported the discovery of an abandoned baby on the road from Minh Khai village, Tien Lu commune to Le Bai village, Tan Hung commune, at the intersection between Thien Phien commune and Tan Hung commune.
The baby is female, estimated to be over 10 months old, in good health, weighing 9kg, 75cm tall, without congenital defects.
At the time of discovery, next to the baby, there was a black nylon bag, inside containing 2 sets of red and white clothes and a handwritten letter.
To have a basis for carrying out birth registration for the child according to regulations, Tan Hung Commune People's Committee notifies that the child's biological parents or relatives need to contact the Commune People's Committee to carry out procedures to receive the child back.
Local authorities also requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, departments, branches, mass organizations, heads and deputy heads of villages to strengthen information and review in the area to find the child's parents or relatives. At the same time, the Commune General Service Center is assigned to widely announce on the commune's loudspeaker system and electronic information page.
Tan Hung Commune People's Committee said that if individuals and organizations inside and outside the locality have information related to the child's biological father, mother or relative, it is requested to notify the Office of the People's Council and the Commune People's Committee.
Within 7 days, from May 15 to the end of May 23, 2026, if there is no information about the child's biological father, mother or relatives, Tan Hung Commune People's Committee will carry out the next procedures in accordance with the law.
