On May 14, the Quang Tri Military Command confirmed that, in the dry season 2024 - 2025, the 584 team tried to find and collect 12 remains of volunteer martyrs and Vietnamese experts sacrificed on the battlefield of Laos, in Savannakhet province.
Currently, the remains of martyrs are being started at the barracks of the 584 team, located in Tho village, Pha Lan Xay district, Savannakhet province (Laos).This is the result of the process of surveying and searching in complicated mountainous terrain conditions, extreme weather and limited information.
According to the plan, on May 21, Savannakhet Special Working Department (Laos) and the Steering Committee of 515 Quang Tri province will hold a ceremony to receive the remains of martyrs in the area of Xa Oao bridge, Lao Bao International Border Gate - Black Sa Vai.After that, the remains will be brought back to the National Martyrs Cemetery on Road 9 (Dong Ha City, Quang Tri).
The memorial service and burial of martyrs will be solemnly held on the morning of May 22 at the National Martyrs Cemetery of Road 9.
