Body of 2 students in Dak Lak swept away by water while swimming in river found

Dak Lak - Authorities have found the bodies of two students who were unfortunately swept away by water while swimming in the river.

On September 14, the People's Committee of Duc Binh commune, Dak Lak province informed that the authorities had found the body of L.M.Y.S who was swept away by the water and completed the procedures to hand it over to his family for funeral arrangements.

Thus, the authorities have found the bodies of both students who were swept away by water while swimming in the river. In addition, there was 1 student who was lucky to be saved.

According to the People's Committee of Duc Binh Commune, the search for victims initially encountered many difficulties due to the large amount of water in the Ba River. After that, the locality issued a document requesting the hydropower plant in the area to temporarily close the water to search for the victims.

Localities downstream of the Ba River are also sending forces to block downstream locations to search for victims.

As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, according to initial information, at 4:00 p.m. on September 13, the children, including L.M.Y.S, K.Y.T (all 9 years old, in grade 4) and K.Y.L (6 years old, in grade 1), all residing in Duc Binh Commune, went swimming together and were swept away by the water.

Hearing the screams and calls for help, people immediately came to save L. S and T were missing.

At 5:30 p.m. the same day, the authorities found T's body and handed it over to his family for funeral arrangements.

S's body was later found by the authorities.
