On the evening of September 2nd, leaders of Bong Son Ward People's Committee (Gia Lai) said that functional forces had found the remaining victim's body in the case of 2 people missing while fishing on the Lai Giang River, passing through the ward.
Initial information, at about 8 pm on September 1, Mr. Dang Xuan K. (born 1985) and Mr. Tran Xuan T. (born 1993), both residing in Bong Son ward, used a boat to fish on the Lai Giang River, the area along the embankment in Binh Chuong neighborhood.
By the morning of September 2nd, the family did not see Mr. K. and Mr. T. return, so they reported to the authorities, asking for search assistance. Relatives suspect that the two people may have had an accident while fishing on the river.
Upon receiving the report, Bong Son Ward Police coordinated with the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police and people to organize searches on the Lai Giang River.
At about 2:30 pm on the same day, functional forces found Mr. K.'s body at the bottom of the Lai Giang River. Mr. T.'s body was found at 8:45 pm on the same day.
The bodies of the 2 victims were handed over to their families for funeral arrangements. Local authorities also visited and encouraged the families of the victims.
