On October 25, the leader of the People's Committee of Cua Duong Commune, Phu Quoc City (Kien Giang) said that the rescue team found the body of a child who was swept away by the water and went missing about 300m from the scene of the incident.
After many hours of searching from the afternoon of October 24, at around 9:20 p.m. on October 24, rescuers found the missing boy swept away by the water. After finding the boy dead, authorities handed over the boy’s body to his family for burial.
As previously reported, at around 3:00 p.m. on October 24, a family went to play at Lo stream when an incident occurred in which a 5-year-old boy went missing, suspected to have been swept away by the water.
After the incident, the People's Committee of Cua Duong commune sent rescue forces to search for the victims. Heavy rain, rising water, and strong currents caused many difficulties in the search.
