Currently, officers and soldiers of Sam Pun Border Guard Station and functional forces are continuing to expand the search area for Vang Mi Gi. (born 2010, residing in Sung Mang commune).

Previously, at about 9:30 am on July 18, Vang Mi Gi. and Sung Thi D. and three friends came to the Trang Huong bridge foot area on the Nho Que River to play.

While the three children were fishing, Gi. and D. went down to the river to swim and were suddenly swept away by the water and went missing.

The area where the incident occurred belongs to the river section bordering Bo Song village, Son Vi commune and Hau Chua village, Meo Vac commune.

Immediately after receiving the news, functional agencies deployed search plans.

Because the area where the incident occurred has dangerous terrain, deep riverbeds, and many cliffs on both banks, the search work faced many difficulties.

The forces are still closely monitoring the scene, searching along both banks of the river, rock crevices, whirlpools and locations where the remaining victims may have been swept away by the water.
