On the afternoon of July 19, functional forces of Tan Khanh ward (HCMC) cordoned off the scene of the area where a male body was found floating on the Dong Nai River.
Accordingly, in the afternoon of the same day, people discovered a body floating on the Dong Nai River on the side of Thanh Hoi islet, Tan Khanh ward. The incident was then reported to functional agencies.
The victim's body was then anchored on the riverbank to wait for functional forces to carry out the autopsy.
At the scene, the body floating on the river was identified as a male, about 60 years old. Functional agencies are identifying and contacting the victim's family.
By 7:30 PM on the same day, the victim's body was salvaged ashore and taken to the hospital morgue. The cause of the incident is being investigated and clarified.
