Immediately after receiving the report, Hong Van Commune Police coordinated with functional forces to be present at the scene, organizing the bringing of the victim's body to shore to serve the verification work. Here, Mr. Nguyen Van Ngo (born in 1971, residing in Thuong Lam village, Phuc Son commune, Hanoi) came to report and suspected that the body was his son.
According to Mr. Ngo, his son, Nguyen Van H. (born in 2005, residing in Phuc Son commune) left home on December 15 and went missing. The family organized a search along the Red River area but to no avail.
During the work, the police agency allowed the family to identify the clothes and characteristics of the body. The results showed many signs of matchmaking with the male student Nguyen Van H. After completing the procedures according to regulations, the authorities handed over the body to the family for funeral arrangements.
According to relatives, at around 6:00 a.m. on December 15, H. left home to go to school as usual. However, by the evening of the same day, the family did not see H. return, so they contacted friends and teachers but did not receive the information. When leaving home, the male student wore a gray jacket, white pants, about 1.7m tall, and thin.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that a student had left home to go to school and then lost contact for many days. The family reported to the police and called on the community to support the search.
According to relatives, recently, H. has shown signs of declining learning, rarely sharing, and sadness. The family said they did not put pressure, but the male student showed signs of stress in studying.
