On June 19, Tan Thuan Ward People's Committee informed that the unit has deployed forces to carry out the work of taking samples, digitizing and handing over samples of martyrs' remains for unidentified graves at Nha Be Martyrs Cemetery - District 7. This is an important step to serve the DNA testing process, in order to step by step confirm and complete information dossiers of martyrs who have been searched for and gathered in Martyrs' Cemeteries.

This activity is not only scientifically meaningful, but also expresses deep gratitude to the children who sacrificed for the Fatherland. The digitization and handover of samples helps create an accurate database, serving for comparison and identification, thereby returning names to martyrs whose information has not been identified, helping relatives to find their loved ones after many years of waiting.
This is also part of the goal of the Campaign "500 days and nights to promote the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains" in Tan Thuan ward. With close coordination between functional agencies, local authorities and the support of the people, the campaign is gradually being implemented effectively, contributing to completing an important political task with profound humanistic meaning.

Previously, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong, Head of Steering Committee 515 of Ho Chi Minh City, had just signed a document sent to the Ho Chi Minh City Command and members of the Steering Committee on the implementation of Notice No. 2517 of the Political Department of Military Region 7 related to the work of taking samples, digitizing and handing over remains of unidentified martyrs for DNA testing.
Accordingly, from now until before May 2027, Ho Chi Minh City will complete the sampling of remains for all 1,869 unidentified martyrs' graves at 18 martyrs' cemeteries in the area.
According to the decision, Ho Chi Minh City established 12 specialized teams with more than 400 officers, soldiers, and specialists under the Ho Chi Minh City Command, Ho Chi Minh City Police, Department of Health and Military Commands of localities.
The teams are organized into many professional groups including sampling groups, digitization groups, excavation groups, transportation groups, filling groups, security assurance groups and logistics groups to serve sampling, preservation and information management of martyrs' remains.
