The Liaison Committee of the 2nd Infantry Division in coordination with the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hiep Duc commune, Da Nang city has just organized a survey to identify the area for searching for martyrs' graves in the commune.
After working, exchanging information and comparing historical sources, the working group surveyed the field in the Doi Son area and the area of the Party Committee headquarters of the commune, belonging to An Nam village, Hiep Duc commune.


According to information provided by some veterans and witnesses, this area is related to the mass grave of martyrs of Special Forces Battalion 10, Infantry Division 2. The martyrs sacrificed on April 29, 1970 in the Doi Son attack, Hiep Duc District.
At the scene, the delegation surveyed the terrain, identified location markers, and zoned areas with information value to serve verification and search work in the coming time.
The survey and identification of the martyr's grave search area is a work of profound humanitarian significance, reflecting the ethical principles of "When drinking water, remember the source", "Gratitude and repayment" of the nation. This is also an effort to meet the aspirations of relatives of martyrs' families and comrades, who have long wished to bring them back to their homeland and motherland.
In the coming time, the Liaison Committee of the 2nd Infantry Division will continue to coordinate with local Party committees, authorities and functional agencies to collect more information, review documents, organize surveys and verifications to deploy steps to search for and repatriate martyrs' remains according to regulations.
After the field survey activity, the working delegation came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Martyrs' Temple of Hiep Duc commune. In a solemn atmosphere, the delegates respectfully remembered and expressed their deep gratitude for the great sacrifices of previous generations for the cause of national liberation and reunification.
