This is one of the solutions agreed to be implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction to ensure traffic order and safety on the routes directly connecting to Terminal T3.
At the Cong Hoa - C12 intersection (now the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road), Ho Chi Minh City will open a median strip so that vehicles from Cong Hoa can turn left directly onto the new connecting road.
At the same time, the traffic guidance sign system has also been fully installed, combined with the renovation of the flow of the Cong Hoa - Truong Chinh intersection to increase the ability to exit vehicles during rush hour.
Previously, people from the Truong Chinh - Cong Hoa direction who wanted to enter the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connection road had to go around Hoang Hoa Tham and 18E routes, causing inconvenience and time-consuming.
Meanwhile, this new route, which is more than 4 km long and 6 lanes wide - although expected to help reduce the load on the Cong Hoa and Truong Chinh axes - has not yet maximized its effectiveness due to inadequacies in traffic organization.

Along with opening the median strip on Cong Hoa Street, Ho Chi Minh City also simultaneously adjusted traffic organization at many locations around Terminal T3.
At the exit of Terminal T3 (14 gates for cars): The median strip is recovered, allowing vehicles from Terminal T3 to turn left safely and conveniently in different directions.
At the entrance to the 2-wheel parking lot: Open a median strip to help vehicles from Truong Chinh Street go straight to the parking lot.
On the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting route (under the overpass): Open the median strip at the section between pillars T6 and T7 so that vehicles can turn towards Phan Thuc Duyen Street. At the same time, a median strip was installed to prevent vehicles from crossing the road to and from Terminal T3, ensuring clear traffic flow.
On Road 18E (from overpass to gate of Terminal T): Organize two-way traffic. Of which, 5 lanes on the right for vehicles entering and exiting the overpass; the left lane is reserved for motorbikes going from the station, prohibiting cars.
At the 18E - Phan Thuc Duyen intersection: Restore traffic organization according to the original design, build a small island to guide traffic to help vehicles from the overpass turn left easily onto Phan Thuc Duyen Street.
At the Phan Thuc Duyen - Tran Quoc Hoan intersection (on the underpass): Install a median strip to create a left turn lane for cars, trucks under 3.5 tons, passenger cars under 25 seats and motorbikes.
Phan Thuc Duyen - Thang Long intersection: Attach a mobile fence on Phan Thuc Duyen Street to flexibly close/open when necessary. Assign the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department to manage and regulate to promptly handle congestion.
At the Cong Hoa - 18E intersection: Install continuous right turn signal lights; painted lines create a lane for vehicles to continuously turn right from Cong Hoa (from Ut Tich Street) to 18E Street. At the same time, relocate the bus stop on Cong Hoa Street to avoid obstructing traffic.
