According to Mr. Le Dinh Quyet - Head of Forecast Department of Southern Hydrometeorological Station, the tropical depression connected with storm YAGI is moving in the West - Northwest direction. The southwest monsoon in the Southern region is of medium to strong intensity. Therefore, heavy rain in the Southern region and Ho Chi Minh City is caused by the low vortex located in this depression.
According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, due to the impact of storm No. 3, the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern provinces and cities will be cloudy, with occasional light rain during the day, intermittent sunshine, scattered showers, scattered moderate rain and thunderstorms, heavy rain in some places, and very heavy rain in some places. During thunderstorms, be on guard against tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.
From now until September 10, the weather in the region will be rainy and showery in many places in the afternoon and evening; some places will have moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms. It will be sunny from morning to noon. The average temperature will decrease significantly but will still be generally higher than the average for the same period in many years, ranging from 27 - 28 degrees Celsius.
