At around 7:30 a.m., thunderstorms were still recorded in Ho Chi Minh City, causing flooding on some streets such as Do Xuan Hop, Phan Huy Ich, and some low-lying areas.


According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, in the next 0-3 hours, thunderstorms will continue to develop, causing showers, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in the areas of Ho Chi Minh City and the South, then expanding to other neighboring areas. Rainfall is generally from 25-60 mm, in some places over 80 mm. During thunderstorms, beware of tornadoes, hail and strong gusts of wind of about level 5-7 (8-17 m/s), heavy rain causing local flooding.
The cause of thunderstorms is due to the southwest monsoon in the Southern region operating at an average intensity. Wind convergence exists in the area.
It is forecasted that in the coming days, the Southern region will continue to have widespread heavy rain.
