On January 17, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway Management Board under the Thang Long Project Management Board confirmed that they had been informed that the rest stop on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway is expected to temporarily put into operation parking lots and restrooms to serve people traveling during the 2025 Lunar New Year.
According to the plan, the two Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway rest stops are located parallel at Km 47+500, bordering Dong Nai and Binh Thuan provinces, and are planned to include many sub-areas.

The 99km Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway, passing through Dong Nai and Binh Thuan provinces, was put into operation at the end of April 2023.
Previously, in mid-2024, the Vietnam Expressway Administration approved the results of selecting investors to build and operate rest stops under the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway project. Accordingly, the winning bidder is the consortium of Phuong Trang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company - Thanh Hiep Phat Company Limited, with a total project investment capital of nearly 300 billion VND.
