On the afternoon of October 18, the leader of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Forest Protection Department said that the python was discovered on a tree in front of the Nha Trang Tourist Boat Wharf being locked up at the Nha Trang - Dien Khanh Forest Protection Department.
According to Article 15, Circular 27/2025 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Khanh Hoa Provincial Forest Protection Department will carry out handover procedures to the People's Committee of Nam Nha Trang Ward to verify and proceeded to release animals back into the natural environment in accordance with the conditions if the animals ensure release conditions.
Or transfer to a biodiversity conservation facility for rescue, care, and nurturing for conservation purposes.
The leader of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Forest Protection Department also informed that there is currently no facility raisingungates in Nha Trang.
Previously, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Forest Protection Department also sent a document to communes and wards to review and inspect facilities for keeping animals in captivity to ensure compliance with regulations.
Currently, Khanh Hoa province has no facilities qualified to care for and raise wild animals. Therefore, in cases where wild animals are caught, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Forest Protection Department will carry out procedures to release them back into the wild in Hon Ba Nature Reserve.
Previously, at noon on October 17, people discovered a python on the top of a tree in front of Nha Trang Tourist Wharf. The python is about 2m long and weighs more than 5kg.
The Nha Trang Tourist Port Management Unit has reported to the locality and relevant units.
However, by the afternoon of October 17, some people had caught the python and taken it away. By the evening of October 17, it was handed over to the People's Committee of Nam Nha Trang Ward.
The People's Committee of Nam Nha Trang Ward then completed the handover procedures to Lam Nha Trang - Dien Khanh Inspectorate for care and temporary detention.
At around 0:00 on October 14, an employee was on duty in the storage area near the corridor of the apartment building of Khanh Hoa General Hospital when he discovered a cowling.
When the crossbows were near, the cow followed the hallway to the warehouse. Early in the morning, the staff reported to the hospital's leaders and checked the entire area where the python appeared.
However, no trace of the python was found. According to the image recorded by the hospital staff, the python has the same characteristics and colors as the python that people discovered at Nha Trang Tourist Boat Wharf at noon on October 17.
