Responding to the 50th anniversary of Saigon - Gia Dinh city officially honored to be named after President Ho Chi Minh (July 2, 1976 - July 2, 2026), on the evening of July 2, Ho Chi Minh City will organize fireworks displays at 16 locations in the area, promising to bring a large-scale light show with many new technologies put into use for the first time.
According to the plan, fireworks display sites will simultaneously open fire at 9 pm and last for 15 minutes. The program is deployed at 16 locations, including 5 high-altitude fireworks display locations and 11 low-altitude fireworks display locations, serving people and tourists throughout the city.

Information from Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Dung - Head of the Military Equipment Department, Logistics - Technical Department, Ho Chi Minh City Command, the total amount of fireworks used in the program includes 2,840 high-altitude fireworks, 360 low-altitude fireworks, 1,200 low-altitude fireworks platforms and more than 12,000 firework tubes of all kinds. The Saigon River tunnel area alone is arranged with 1,200 high-altitude fireworks, 60 low-altitude fireworks platforms and 30 fireworks platforms, becoming a highlight of the program.

An Khanh firing point will for the first time apply a 100% automatic fireworks display system. With this technology, just one activation, the entire firing point and performance process will be operated completely automatically, contributing to improving accuracy, synchronicity and safety in the organization process.

Another highlight of the program is the increased use of fire magic, especially water cannons in the An Khanh area. Unlike traditional fireworks that are fired into the air and then explode, water cannons are designed to operate right on the surface of the Saigon River. When activated, light effects will spread on the water surface, creating a brilliant lighting range and bringing a new visual experience to viewers.
Meanwhile, at the Marina building point, the program will use 90 low-altitude fireworks displays combined with more than 12,000 firework tubes, contributing to creating a multi-layered, colorful performance.

Not only investing in lighting effects, this year's program is also synchronized with music. The organizers built a script consisting of 4-5 musical pieces, each piece lasting from 3 to 4.5 minutes, in which the ending part brings a heroic melody, creating a climax for the entire performance. The sound and lighting system of the central area buildings will also be synchronized with each fireworks explosion, promising to bring a mãn nhãn and lively experience.
To ensure absolute safety, military, police, fire and medical forces are arranged to be on duty 24/24 at the battlefields. The installation process is strictly implemented in accordance with regulations, with the completion of the entire technical system before loading firecrackers, in order to strictly control and minimize safety risks throughout the organization process.
